Can’t change email address or access account on another account I own

    I just created this account so I could seek help in recovering an older active Word Press account. I need to change my email address on the account and can’t figure out how.

    I have been paying for a domain name for years. In 2018 I asked that my email address be changed from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff). I don’t think I ever changed it (my fault) but I see an email from WordPress giving me a link to change the email address (again it’s from 2018). That link no longer works because it is so old. Makes sense.

    I do not recall the domain name. I have a transaction ID from my credit card statement showing I paid for it this year and previous years. I need help changing the email address on my older (and still active) WordPress account so that I can log in and activate the domain name.

    Please follow the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form to recover access that account with the transaction ID.

    Thank you. I have been there. It requires that I have the URL associated with the account. I do not have that.

    What is an alternative?
