cant change primary CNAME and NS on domain

    hi there – i’m working with the owners of northburn100.co.nz and we are looking to use Squarespace but point to wordpress for the site. I have added cnames and A records but can’t edit the main ones so the site wont transition – can you tell me how to edit these?

    Can you explain a bit more about what you are trying to do here? Squarespace is a website builder (in the same way that WordPress is), so it would be odd for a site to use both as the same time. A bit more information would help me understand what you are trying to do and offer the correct assistance.

    In a general sense, to point a domain to WordPress.com from another registrar, you would want to use these instructions to change the nameservers to point here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

    It is possible to point a domain to WordPress.com using A-records, though it is not the preferred method for doing so as IP addresses can change unexpectedly. That said, we are happy to provide our current IP addresses if you would prefer to go that direction.
