Can't confirm email because the address is already in use.
-
I guess I made an account a while back with my email address. I started a new wordpress site and have written a bunch of drafts, but I’m unable to publish them because I can’t confirm my email, which I can’t do because I used that email address in the past (I don’t use that past account or have anything written in it).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If your email address is already attached to a different WordPress.com account you wouldn’t have been able to add it to this account to start with.
This account has already been verified, so you should be able to publish posts. If you can’t, please clear your browser cache and cookies and see if that helps.

Thanks! I had misspelled my email address when’s I signed up (.vom instead of .com). What I ended up doing was going through the “forgot password” process with my old account, then going into there and changing the email address to one I don’t use anymore but still have access to. Then I was able to add my current email address to my new account.

That’s the correct process, yes. Glad you were able to figure it out :)
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
