I put in the code from Mailchimp to ‘mailchimp popup subscription’ widget. But when I check connection on Mailchimp. I can’t connect to my site. please help.

The code you pasted here still doesn’t look right. If you follow our instructions you should generate a code looking like this:

I’m sure I follow the instructions. But the code that I got from Mailchimp is totally different from yours.

That code is missing some parts and won’t trigger a pop-up. Please make sure you’re generating the code for the Subscriber pop-up.

Since MailChimp has changed their interface a bit compared to our instructions, please follow the following steps:
1. Log in to your MailChimp account and click on Audience > Manage Audience > Signup Forms
2. Select the Subscriber pop-up
3. Click on View Code, copy the code and then hit Publish.

When I do it, I don’t see the View Code button. Only the Publish one.

Thanks for the screen shots.
Did you by any chance follow the steps in Mailchimp to connect it to your site before you created the form? If so, that might be the problem here – that connection option doesn’t work for WordPress.com sites, which is why we have our own widget for this. In that case, disconnecting your site first should allow you to get the correct code.
