can’t connect my wordpress account with my wordpress website!

I can login to my website fine and work on it from there. However, now that I need to change some settings, it sends me to the wordpress login and it says I don’t have an account. Why would this be? So I signed up for an account with the same email address I have and it doesn’t connect the site. It wants me to create a new site. I already have one created! So frustrating!

You’ve just created this brand new account at WordPress.com. Perhaps your site isn’t hosted here. Perhaps your unnamed site is hosted somewhere else and using the WordPress.org software. Revealing the address of your site would be useful to point you in the right direction.
