Can’t create a free wordpress site!

  Every time I go through the process it asks me to purchase a domain instead of letting me opt for a wordpress.com URL. What’s going on?

  – Domains
  – Add

  I am having the same problem. My hosting account was cancelled and reactivated
  so i have to re-create my website. I used Word Press and now when I try to add my domain which I own there are three payment plans.

  Your previous site was not on WordPress.com, but using the open source software at a different host.

  To use a domain you already own on a WordPress.com site requires that you upgrade to one of our paid plans:
