Can't delete blog

  Hi guys,

  I would like to use my new blog vainsoul.wordpress.com . However I have an old blog I wish to delete as it’s cluttering and confusing me, it is lukeelhout.wordpress.com , but it won’t allow me to delete it! It has two .com domains under that account that I do not need anymore and do not mind losing them.

  Hope you can help me delete lukeelhout.wordpress.com! I can only make it private but it still loads and has it’s own dashboard.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and proceed.

  Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden

  If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
  follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility

  If you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
  and if required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery.

  Hope you can help me delete lukeelhout.wordpress.com! I can only make it private but it still loads and has it’s own dashboard.

  Thank you! It is already administrator but I still can’t delete the old blog, the option isn’t there in the drop down menu where the visible blogs are listed

  Hi there,

  If you don’t mind losing the two custom domains linked to lukeelhout.wordpress.com, I can cancel those for you. Once they are cancelled, you will be able to delete that blog.

  Please keep in mind that cancelling a domain means you will lose the ownership of the domain and there is no guarantee you can register it again. If that’s ok, please reply here to confirm and I can take care of that for you.

  If you prefer, you can keep both of the domains with one of these options:

  – Move the domain upgrades to another WordPress.com site. We have a guide for that here: My Upgrades: Transferring Upgrades

  – Transfer the domain registrations to another domain registrar. We have a guide for that here: Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

  If you choose one of those options, you can keep ownership of the two domains and still delete the blog lukeelhout.wordpress.com.

  Hello!

  Thanks for the response. I don’t mind losing them, if you could please cancel both of them I don’t need them anymore. I’d just like to declutter. I’d like to delete the following:

  1. schizocure.wordpress.com
  2. lukeelhout.wordpress.com
  3. vividgenius.com
  4. lividgenius.com

  The only one I will be using and still need is vainsoul.wordpress.com !

  Thanks for confirming. :) I cancelled your domains vividgenius.com and lividgenius.com, so you’re all set there.

  To delete the two WordPress.com blogs you mentioned (schizocure.wordpress.com and lukeelhout.wordpress.com), you can follow this guide: Delete Site

  Please keep in mind that deleting a blog is permanent and can’t be undone. No one (including you) will be able to use those blog addresses in the future, so only do this if you’re sure you don’t want those blogs anymore.

  You will need to delete each blog individually, under Tools > Delete Site in the blog’s dashboard. If you run into any trouble or have any questions about that, please let me know.

  If you want to declutter but don’t want to permanently delete these blogs, you can set the blogs to private (so they aren’t visible to the public) and/or hide them from your My Blogs list.
