Can't disable comment function
-
I can’t disable the comments feature. I have tried all the official methods and looked in Forums for tips and tried various suggestions I found there. Can you help? My blog is http://www.rhythmandsound.com. Thanks – Beth
btw, I’ve made every page “Private” until I have content in them EXCEPT for the page entitled “Impressum”.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/

Thanks for your answer.
I will check into the WordPress.org-Documentation that you mention, BUT – and this is a big BUT – I did purchase the $99 package that includes such things as premium themes AND support.
This seems to me to be a support issue.

You purchased the bundle for http://rhythmandsong.com/
That’s a WordPress.com blog, and we can definitely help you with that blog if you’re having trouble.

Thanks. Could you take a look? I’ve tried all the possibilities that I can find and that I’ve run across in forums and in the instructions and nothing turns off the comments function in my blog (actually: I’m making a static website). I’m using the Twenty Eleven theme.

We don’t have any control over http://www.rhythmandsound.com/ so all I can really look at is the front the blog.
You’ll need to contact the folks at http://wordpress.org/support/ for help.
