Can't disable comments on my home page

Cannot disable comments on my home page. I have opted to display a static page for my site’s home page, and I think something about this fact is making it extremely difficult for me to figure out how to disable comments on my home page, even though I believe I have disabled comments for the static page itself which I am using as my home page (via Page Options -> ‘Comments’ check box).
What am I missing? Thanks!

For whatever reason, that setting wasn’t sticking for that page when you changed it.
I have gone in and changed it and it seems to be sticking. At least, for the moment I am not seeing a comment option for your home page.
Let me know what you see.

Next time I’ll just try toggling the setting on and off a time or two.

Don’t forget to click “update” when you do. Sometimes people miss that you have to update for the setting to take effect.
