Can’t edit my old posts

I’m unable to edit any of my old posts or pages. (I’m logging in for the first time in a few months and the dashboard interface has changed, so maybe there’s been a WordPress update that has caused problems.) When I go to any post or page, instead of my normal HTML text box, there’s a new ‘block’ interface with an error message ‘This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.’ Off to the right I see text that says, ‘Classic: Use the classic WordPress editor,’ but clicking on it does nothing.
It seems like the new dashboard interface has resulted in me not being able to edit old stuff. I have been able to create a new post, but I can’t edit any old posts or pages. Help!

To confirm, do you need help with NathanRichardson.com or with ldsphilosopher.wordpress.com? I had not problem with ldsphilosopher.wordpress.com, so I take it you’re referring to NathanRichardson.com?
NathanRichardson.com is not hosted at WordPress.com. As such, we are unable to provide any direct assistance in this manner.
I would recommend asking in the self-hosted forums since that site was indeed built with WordPress software:
