can't find my new wordpress account

    I recently created britchicintexas wp account not realizing I had created a wordpress account back in 2010.
    Somehow I accidentally merged the two accounts and now can only access the old one.
    britchicintexas.com still has my pages I can’t access them in wordpress
    I started out trying to add a way for people to subscribe to my site and get notifications when I post something new

    Please help?

    Hi,

    The site https://britchicintexas.wordpress.com/ is in the 2010 account, and is the primary website of the account you are logged into to post a comment here. I don’t know what you mean by merged the accounts, but if you recently created a second WordPress.com account, it wouldn’t be accessible via this one. It would have a separate account email address, and a different associated username. Is the new account a WordPress.com account or a WordPress.org account?

    Yes it is when they “merged”, at least I think they merged.
    I only came up with that name for the new one – it was linked to my website
    britchicintexas.com and I created the site using the new “paid” service.
    The 2010 one was the free account.
    I created the new account, then went back a couple of days later and it asked me to sign in. When I went to do that, it said password was invalid, and I absolutely sure it was correct, but went to reset pw anyway.
    I reset it to the password I was sure it was and it let me sign in but it signed into an old “free” account that I had forgotten about and never used.
    both were linked to the same email address.
    They did have different user id’s but while messing with it to figure out what to do I added the new name “britchicintexas” to the old one “britchic123”
    which is the only one I can log into now.
    Maybe they didn’t merge. Maybe its because they both are connected to the same email address and username. What do I do about that?

    I guess you’ve connected a self-hosted WordPress.org site to a WordPress.com site using Jetpack. I don’t understand how Jetpack works, and am having trouble following your description of the issues involved, so I’ll tag the topic for staff attention. Staff will likely be able to sort things out for you.

    I was unable to find either a WordPress.com username “britchic123” or a website with that domain. Are you referring to a website?
