Can’t follow all my students blogs/sites

  According to the forum, other people have had this problem, where their students create WordPress sites, and then they don’t have the option to be followed. I’ve successfully followed nine so far this year, but 5 or 6 more tell me ‘Sorry, there was a problem following xxxx. Please try again.’ I can visit their sites, but the ‘Follow’ button in the lower right corner doesn’t exist. Why is this happening with some but not others??

  I’ve successfully followed nine so far this year

  Can you confirm how you’re following them? For example, are you pasting links in the reader? I tested this and was able to follow https://scsulionnellw.wordpress.com/ for example.

  Also, can you share a few links to sites you were able to follow successfully so we can see how they’re set up differently?

  That did it, putting in the https://!! I still couldn’t see a “Follow” option on the blog itself, but the full URL in the Reader worked (though for the others, that wasn’t necessary).

  Here’s an example of one that wasn’t a problem:

  acerbo26.wordpress.com
