Can’t get Amazon HTML Code to work

  Hello,

  I made a custom code on Amazon to display a list of Christmas Books I recommend on my site. However every time I copy and paste the link into the HTML tab it’ll show until I publish it. When I publish it, it no longer shows the list but the link I copy and pasted.

  I’ve been trying to figure this out for months. I am able to use the same link just fine on Blogger and have even considered moving over there if I cannot just this figured out.

  You can’t use any code on a free wordpress.com website. There are some limitations for security reasons, https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/.
  To put an Amazon affiliate link on your site, https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-amazon-com-affiliate-links-to-your-wordpress-com-site/

  I’ll be happy to take a closer look and get this sorted out. Can you tell me where on the site you’ve been trying to add the code?

  Looking at widgets I don’t see a Christmas book list mentioned. Is it the Bookmas! page?

  We will also need to see a copy of the code Amazon generated for you. Could you paste that here for us inside the code ticks? Or if it is added in the code block on the proper page we can see it there as well.

  Sorry, I just posted it now. You’ll be able to find it on my blog page. When I’m editing/writing the post it’ll show up correctly, until I publish, then it’s just a link that doesn’t even work.
