Can’t get Base domain working

    Hello Team,
    I can’t seem to get my base domain working after migrating from another host. The home page loads fine, but all other pages generate a 404 error. I ended up moving it to another vhost directory & creating another vhost config file to navigate to the WP admin area just to have something to reference off while I build from scratch. Here’s the kicker: all pages work on the subdomain I created.

    base domain: gracecathedralsa.org
    subdomain: old.gracecathedralsa.org

    So I started with the new build anyway (LAMP stack):
    -Created a new DB
    -downloaded latest version tarball
    -extracted into home directory
    -rsync into DocRoot: /var/www/gracecathedralsa.org/public_html/
    -setup wp-config.php file with DB details
    -browsed to gracecathedralsa.org to complete install
    -home page & wp admin area work fine
    -create a new page & browse to it, I get a 404 error still

    I verified permissions & ownership match the old.gracecathedralsa.org directories

    vhost for both domains are identical except the docroot & servername obviously:

    Also please note I imported the mysql database (renamed) as well as have both the old database & base database with different names. I am using the same user profile for both databases, all permissions granted for both databases.

    When trying the new build, I dropped all the tables on the base database before configuring the wp-config.php file.

    I’m at a loss as to why I’m only having the issue on the base domain.

    I also ended up finding the root of my issue as well…I did sent the directory stanza in my 443 vhost settings….might help when everything is redirected that way.
