Can’t get into “About this site”

  I have something on my main page, I can’t delete. My site is jtaasoccer.wordpress.com. On the right hand column, under “About the site” is a short sentence. I need to get rid of it. I can not find where to edit this sentence. I’m afraid, when I used a design early in the process, there was a chance to enter and edit this. But when I switched designs, that option has been closed. I’m concerned, if I went back to the original design, with the 30plus pages I now have, it may change them all, just to get rid of that one sentence. It wouldn’t look the same, when I would eventually change things back. any thoughts to help? I really appreciate the support.

  I think you are seeing the default sample display of the sidebar widgets. Go to design > widgets and add the widgets you wish to have and the sample set will go away. Make sure and click the “save changes” button after adding each widget.

  Thank you so much. One more question. On the top right of the custom Image Header it says “home” and “Blue Lightning” one of the soccer teams I focused on. I want to delete the “Blue Lightning” header. How can I do that? Thanks again, you were very helpful

  That is a page that you have created. Simply go to manage > pages and delete that page.

  There is not a page for this heading. I double checked and could not find one. Any other possibilities? Thanks again.
