cant log in or view my site

    up for others but i get 403
    cant log in or view
    dvdrparty.com

    flushed cache
    turned off modem (which fixed it temporarily)
    checked with my host and went thru everything re network
    checked with my isp – everything great.

    im the only admin, and i think im banned somehow. might be a plugin but i cant get to the plugins.

    Hmm, with an actual 403 error I would expect blocking at the host level. But are you able to access your control panel to get to your plugins that way?

    Also, if you think Jetpack could have blocked you – though I’d expect a message rather than a 403 error – can you try allowing your IP via WordPress.com? You can enter IP addresses here:
    My Sites → Settings → Security → Prevent brute force login attacks

    hey there and thank you. i just solved the log in prob. my ip was marked as deny in the htaccess file, maybe from a plug in?

    Ah, yeah I can see that happening. I wasn’t sure if your site was Apache-hosted, but yes that did sound like an .htaccess thing. And I’m glad to hear you’ve got it.

    For what it’s worth, Jetpack does has Brute Force Protection built in. If you’re using another plugin for that, too, you can disable the module in Jetpack if you’d like, or you can keep the Jetpack one on and deactivate the other. I’m not sure how well they play together if you’re hoping to double protect, but the Jetpack team could probably answer that question if needed:
