Can’t log into an old account

  I can’t log into an old WP site because it’s been years since I’ve used it and I have forgotten the username and the password. I also believe it’s linked to a now defunct email account. How can I regain access to my site ? Any suggestions would be helpful – A

  If you still have access to the email connected to the account, you can enter that email address in the password recovery form:

  https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  If that doesn’t work, in order to regain access to a WordPress.com account, we’ll need one of the following things:
