Can’t log into wp-admin

  I get a 403 error when I try to hit the wp-admin area of my site. I’ve checked file permissions (directories are 755, files are 655), I’ve tried disabling all plugins, and I’ve tried deleting the .htaccess file under the public_html folder. All to no avail. Can you please help?

  I resolved the issue. What fixed it was replacing the wp-admin directory with one from a fresh WordPress download.
