can’t login from the login page

  I can not login from the login page. The only way I can get to my site is to go back to the original email that was sent to me in 2016 when I first set up and registered my new blog site. I click on the ‘Login’ button that is imbedded in that first email and then it takes me right to my site. I know I have the username and email correct because I’ve checked that in the Account settings page. But when I try to login from the login page with either my email or account name, I get a message that says that there is no account or user with that name. What’s the problem? Why can’t I login from the login page?

  What is the URL of your site so we can look it up in our system? If you have the original email it is usually something we send to the email address we have on file for that account. You can add that email address here to send yourself a new login link: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
