Can't login or access my site though it is still there

II can’t login to my blog site – using my email address, wordpress was saying I don’t have a site. So I created a new site: http://www.alanmccormickwriter.wordpress.com )
But I’d like to be able to get back into my old site a sit took years to build – to edit etc. My normal site that I can’t get into is http://www.alanmccormickwriting.wordpress.com
From there, I was also an admin a site called shortstops (a few years ago I changed the name on my site from http://www.dogsbodiesandscumsters.worpress.com – maybe that’s a problem in terms of passwords etc?) -
I’ve decided to delete the site I created today (alanmccormickwriter) as I’m only interested in accessing and working on my original site (http://www.alanmccormickwriting.wordpress.com) . Please help me log in and access as it wont login from my email. Thank you.

I do not see any upgrades under your @alvict77 WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/.
Is it possible you made your purchase under a different login? I can confirm that alanmccormickwriting.wordpress.com is registered at WordPress.com but is under a different account and not your @alvict77 login.
If you do not recall how to log in to your other account you can fill out the form here to get assistance from our Account Recovery team: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
This will send all the info you have to our account recovery team, and from there they will contact you directly to assist you in regaining access to the account that owns alanmccormickwriting.wordpress.com

thanks for your help – I’ve filled in the account recovery form – the only proof I have is the original set up key code sent by Word Press in 2011 – but the form won’t send. Can’t work out why.

Yes I do. Please note this is from WP in 2011 when I first set up my site with the name Dogsbodies and Scumsters, which I then changed to Alan McCormick Writing in 2020 (which it is called now): 5 Apr 2011, 12:43
