cant make comments show up

  this is infuriating and maddening
  i even downloaded the wordpress.com desktop app. i know i made a POST. it’s a simple blog but there are no comment section. i went to discussionsettings and disabled that user needs to be registered and even made sure comments were enabled on the post settings. what the heck!?

  The setting at https://wordpress.com/support/comments/#in-settings only enables/disables comments on future posts and pages.

  To enable/disable comments on existing posts and pages, please follow the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/comments/#on-a-post-or-page

  I already tried that. doesn’t change anything when I try looking at it without logging in…

  Ok, https://indepthreviews.data.blog/2021/09/17/rewarded-play-review/ is the only public post I see on your site, and I can confirm no comment section appears despite being logged in.

  The issue is the Blank Canvas theme which has a few more controls than out typical theme.

  At https://indepthreviewsdata.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php choose Content Options, then check “Make comments visible” and save.
