Can’t Provider Ownership, Can’t Submit for Recovery

I set up an account back in college, but no longer have access to my college email. I’ve tried contacting the admins and there is no existing email any more – there is no way to gain access. The wordpress account was set up over a decade ago. It might have my phone number, but I know 2FA wasn’t set up. I can’t fill out the account recovery form because I don’t have any of the 3 identifying things needed. I have personal information on there and I’d like the site at least set to private, but there is absolutely no way to get in contact with wordpress. I would literally pay if I could just speak to a human who could help. WordPress states:

“If ownership cannot be established -If we cannot verify your identity, we cannot grant access to the account. The following options are available:

    • If your website contains personal information, you can ask our support team to set it to private so search engines and the public can’t access it.”

I tried to do this, but it just loops you back to the account recovery page which won’t let me submit. What do I do? Should I pay for something on this current account just so I can talk to a human? I don’t want to do this unless I know they can at least set my other account to private.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The last line is incorrect, that is not the blog I need help with. It’s a completely separate account.

    Hi there,

If you need to recover access to the account, and you are familiar with the email/username used, you can try to reset the password: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your WordPress.com account and can’t log in, the next best step is to complete the Account Recovery Form: Account Recovery Form

Provide as much information as possible, such as transaction IDs, activation links, backup codes, or anything else that could help prove ownership. Check this guide for reference: Account Recovery Guide.

Please let me know if that method worked for you.

If you read my post correctly, it didn’t work, so this reply is unhelpful
