Can’t publish a block!
-
I created a block on one of my pages, I made some edits to it and now it has completely disappeared from public view. I can only access it in the editor. Can anyone help please?

Hi there, what’s the address of the WPcom site you need help with so we can take a look.
-
Looking at the site I can see that there are 3 published and active pages. 1 saved in draft mode, and a few in the trash.
Are any of those what you are looking for?

Thank you.
The pages are all published fine. The draft is in the right place. I’m afraid the problem I have is different.
When I am in the page editor in admin, I can see a block (which is an image and text block) at the top of the ‘The Lunches’ page. The block is an introduction to that page (similar to the home page).
However, when I look at the public site, it’s not there.

I’m sorry if this sounds obvious, but since that page was already published, did you click the Update button in the Editor after you added that block?
-
No don’t worry it’s cool – obvious is sometimes good! Yep all updated etc.
I didn’t just add the block, it was always there. I was tweaking some colour washes the other day, changed some words. Now it’s just not showing in preview or the live site.
So frustrating

I duplicated the page and the duplicate is fine so it must have been a bug. I’ve made the duplicate my posts page and that’s working OK now. Thanks.

Good to hear that you were able to come up with a fix! However, let us know if this issue comes up again in the future, and we’ll look further into this for you.
Thanks!

Appreciate it everyone.
Actually, the problem came back and support helped me. Fortunately, they were not surprised I hadn’t been able to work it out.
It turns out I didn’t realise that as I had marked this as the ‘posts page’, the theme was kicking in and overriding any design blocks. So all good!
