Can’t read blog posts with new theme??

I purchased a theme outside of WordPress for my blog, and all of my posts show up on the home page with the option to click to read the full story. However, every time I click on one of the posts to read more, I am taken to the page where I would be able to view the full post, but it says ‘fatal error’ and then a bunch of weird codes that I don’t understand at all. How can I fix this so that my posts will be actually visible when I click on them?? Is this something within the theme that I am supposed to fix? Please help!!!

If you’re using the open source WordPress.org software with another hosting provider, please ask for help in https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ instead.
We’re only able to help in this forum with sites hosted on WordPress.com.
