Can’t register account at wordpress.org

    Hello, I’m having issues with some of my plugins. To leave a support ticket for them, I need a wordpress.org account.
    When I try to make a wordpress.org account, I set up the username, and it sent me an email to set up my password. When I click the email’s link, it asks me to login (not allowing me to set a password).

    Whenever I try to login, it tells me that my username doesn’t exist, but when I try to register a new account with that username, it tells me that it is taken and registration is pending. (I’ve already resent the registration email, but it still doesn’t work). Does anyone have any advice/help for this?

    Hi there!

    To clear up any further confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
