    Can’t renew: budgetglobetrekker.com. System only allowing me to select a plan. I wanted to stay with the free plan but with my own domain. How?

    @aisabasia, it’s because your domain expired a while ago and is in redemption now.

    The registrar charges an extra $80 fee to get it back, if it’s possible to get it back at all. Do you want us to send an invoice for that plus the renewal fee?

    Also, note that we’ve required plans for domains hosted here for some time now, but in your case the issue is that the domain you already had wasn’t renewed in time.
