Cant sign in to wp admin

    I am using the correct sign in username and password for my account, as I can get into the wordpress overview but when I attempt to enter wp admin I get a message telling me ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page’
    How can I gain access?

    Hi there,

    What is the URL of the site you’re trying to access?

    Note that you’re logged into a username account on the WordPress.com hosting platform. The three sites you have under this account are not hosted with us, just connected here via the Jetpack plugin, and the login details for your admin accounts for those sites are completely separate from your WordPress.com username login.

    If you’re unable to log into WP-Admin on any of those sites, try switching on Jetpack SSO which will allow you to access WP-Admin via your WordPress.com account. You’ll find that at My Site ->Manage ->Settings ->Security -> WordPress.com Log In.

    Otherwise, if you need to reset the password for the admin account itself, you can find the instructions for your version of WordPress at https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

    For more help with that, it will be best to contact your hosting provider for the specific site directly.
