Can't upload images
-
So I’ve had my WordPress for over a year now and all has been well. However, for the past week it won’t let me upload new images. It keeps telling me my files exceed the maximum upload size, which is strange as they’re no bigger than files I’ve been uploading (smaller even) until now. I get the same message when I try uploading through my phone. Can anyone point me towards the problem? Has there been an update or anything? Is there a way to check the max upload size and change it?

Hi,
This issue isn’t the filesize, it is that your media library is using all of the 3GB that is available to free WordPress.com sites. It does sound like we may need to look at adjusting that error message.

So, you’ll either need to upgrade to one of our paid plans that offer more storage space:

Or, you’ll have to delete some of the images in your media library to free up space. Do be aware that doing so will cause them to disappear form any post that they were used in.
Let us know if anything is unclear or you have any further questions.
