Can’t upload media from self-hosted site via WordPress.org

    I run a self hosted WordPress blog and I am having difficulty uploading images via WordPress.com (on the web, Desktop Windows app and Android app). I am connected with Jetpack with no problem. Whenever I try to upload any media (other then posts without images) I receive ‘1 file could not be uploaded because an error occurred while uploading’, or something similar. When I access my site via wp-admin I have no problem uploading images. I run nginx on my own personal server. Any help would be great, as of now I can only fully manage my blog through wp-admin, and would like to be able to get full mobile functionality.

    Just to be clear, this is a self-hosted blog snowsoversapporo.com/blog running wordpress, linked with Jetpack to WordPress.com.
