Can't upload more than one picture at a time…?

I’ve always been able to select four, seven, ten pictures at a time to upload from my photo library. Now I can’t upload more than one picture at a time…? As soon as I touch one picture it starts to upload, which forces me to go through the four or five steps needed for Every Single Picture, instead of having a blue check mark indicating that it’s queued for upload with a group of photos. Not fun.

Hi there,
It looks like you are uploading those photos from your iPad. Is that right?
Are you using the WordPress App for iOS or are you uploading them directly in Safari? If you can let me know exactly what screen you’re on (or what steps you take) while uploading those photos, that will help me look into this for you.

Yes, I’m using an iPad and I’m uploading the photos from my library into WordPress through Safari. I go to Add Media>Upload File(s)>Select Files>Choose Existing>Photo Folder and then tap on the picture(s) I want.

With the app, you can upload multiple photos at a time to a post or page.
I’ll also mention the issue in Safari to our team, to see if that’s something we’re able to control and improve.

Thank you for your time. I did upload the WordPress app as you suggested. It did allow me to upload 4 photos at a time, however, it dumps them directly into the post instead of giving me the option of creating different types of galleries as it does with Safari. I was able to write over 40 posts with multiple picture uploads and galleries over the last few months through Safari. One at a time is SO time consuming. Why did it stop?

Our team is working on adding support for galleries to the WordPress app, so in the future you’ll be able to upload multiple photos and create galleries directly from the app. :)
I’m not sure why this changed for you in Safari, though. I’m not aware of any changes on our end that would have changed this behavior, which leads me to believe it may have been a change in iOS that affected how the media uploader works. I’ll let our team know about this issue so we can investigate it further.

I’ve since been able to do multiple uploads with Safari on my home computer but still can’t on my iPad so I suspect it is an iPad issue, perhaps just mine. I will use the two computers in tandem to write my blogs; and the app if it ever allows multiple uploads.
