Can’t use page layouts from free theme

    Hi! I would like to use the layout from the theme Twenty Sixteen. I have the theme activated, however if I try to add a new page, none of the layouts that I can choose from are from this theme. If I use the pages I had originally, none of them are changed to match this theme, either.

    Hi there, it sounds like your site is using the new block editor, but with an older theme. The block editor is available for all of the Twenty-something themes, and with the exception of the latest, Twenty-Twenty, each theme also has it’s own layout.     However, that shouldn’t prevent you from being able to use the new page layouts that appear when you create a brand new page on your site. The page content will appear within the theme’s layout.
