Hi there,
can I add a requirement for users to enter a username and password to enter a member specific site from a public page?
You have a few options here using our built-in tools:
- You can password protect any page or blog post on your site. Visitors do not enter their username, but they do need to know the password to view the page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-and-page-visibility/
- You can create a “paid membership” site where you protect content behind a subscription, only someone who has a paid membership on the site can see the content you secure in this way: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/premium-content-block/
Also, where are the standard website pages? I only see blog choices
That is found here: https://wordpress.com/pages/kscpeo.wordpress.com
Also if you are confused about the difference between pages and posts we have this handy guide here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
Can I have multiple menus?
That can depend on your theme, but for the most part you are limited to one menu. If you would like though, you can use “drop down tabs” in your menu to offer a longer list of choices under each main tab in the menu: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/create-drop-down-menus/
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
