categorizing

  my site says it is uncategorized. when I set it up I clicked on family, but that is now gone. How do I categorize my site and or pages or blog posts?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  The default post category is uncategorized on every new site. You can change it at Writing Settings. See the Writing Settings support page for instructions.

  How do I categorize my site and or pages…

  The site can’t be categorized. Your answers to the survey questions during the site creation process might have had an effect on the themes presented for you to choose from during that process, or they might only have been used internally by WordPress.com. They did not and do not categorize the site, or its content types such as posts and pages.

  See the Categories support page.

  You may add categories to posts. I vaguely recall seeing at least one theme that allowed categories on pages but that isn’t ordinarily the case.
