  A category, which I can select and is shown on my dashboard, doesn’t show up on my blog with all the other categories.

  Have you actually published a post with that category assigned to it yet? Until you do that there will be no data that can be displayed.

  I’m not sure what happened, but when I logged out and logged back in, it actually showed up correctly, the way it was supposed to all along, but thank you anyway!
