Category and SubCategory sorting in admin menu

When viewing the category list, it will show dependents correctly under each parent category..
but when you sort, say Alphabetically, it will show the entire list alphabetically, including the sub categories.
Is there a hook or something that keep the wordpress category dependency so that only the parent category gets sorted (and the sub categories will be sorted but with the parent dependency)

Is it possible you created your site under a different login with us or are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

It’s a site I am working on that is not public. It is not a wordpress.com site, it’s a full wordpress site.
