Category does not appear in blog roll
-
I had three links appearing in my link widget. I created a category and moved one of the links to that category. That link no longer appears under my blogroll. If I click on links in the dashboard it shows all three links and that one of them is in my new category. But it does not appear on my blog
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sidebars are cached and can take a half an hour to catch up. That said, there can sometimes be some confusion between blogroll (link) categories and post categories, and if that’s happened here it would require staff intervention.
What is the category you created?

If you’ve created new categories in your links and moved links from the default “blogroll” category, they will no longer appear under “blogroll” in your sidebar. You have to add a new Link Widget and set it to display the new category.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/You can also set a different category to be default other than “blogroll” if you want.

Is that theme dependent? On Freshy and Vigilance it displays them all on the same links widget, just separated by headings.
-
If you go to appearance > widgets, and click on the right end of the links widget to open it, make sure that at the top, it is set to show “all links.” If it is, then it should show all links under link category headings in that single widget. At least that is how it used to work.
Also, go to links > links and make sure that the other links are assigned to the new category and that something didn’t go wrong when you assigned the links.

Could be. There’s a note at the bottom of this Support Doc mentioning that certain themes do not have options.

Oh man, do I ever need my second cup of coffee. This going off DST has really fouled me up.

Or the link. If the link is set to private it won’t show either – except to you when logged in.
