  I purchased the personal upgrade ($4/month, free domain) on 5/29/20.
  My account was charged however I do not see purchase on my account
  my email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Also, I’ve changed the domain name and need help to understand if there is an additional charge if i use the ‘*.com’ vs ‘wordpress.com’

  Are you sure you made the upgrade with the account you are currently logged in to?
