cell phone responsiveness
-
When I open my blog on my cell phone (iPhone 6), the collage feature shows distorted images. The single images on my blog look fine, but the images in the collage are very distorted. Any suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I don’t see any tiled galleries on your site, only full size images appearing underneath one another. Can you please give me a link to the exact post/page where you see this? And is this in the iOS app, or the Safari browser on your phone?
Can you please take a screen shot of what you see and upload it to your media library for me?
@priscillamizell
What is your site, please? You did not provide any URL that we can check.

I changed the tiled galleries on my blog to single image because of the issue. I couldn’t keep the collages up – they looked awful. I also had friends check the site on their phones and they too reported that the tiled galleries were distorted. I even changed the template of my page a few times and they were still distorted on phones but they always looked fine on desktop. This Problem was seen through the browser on my phone, not the app. Since not all perspective clients would have the app, I’m hoping that wouldn’t matter too much. Per your request I have uploaded the screen shots into my media library.

Thanks!
My URL is priscillamizell.com
The issue happens when I view my website on my iPhone, but only the mobile version of the website:

If I view the “full site” on my phone, it seems to be fine:

@priscillamizell
You have the mobile theme enabled on your site, instead of using your theme’s built-in mobile view. Can you please disable the mobile theme and see if that makes any difference? The mobile theme is only meant for sites with non-responsive themes, and doesn’t support all the code that your actual theme does, which could be the cause here.

As you don’t have any gallery on your site I’ll need to set up a test site with some galleries to try and comfirm this. If the problem is specific to something on your site that will obviously not help, but let’s see.
Can you please tell me exactly what iOS and iPhone version you’re using, as well as the version of Safari?

Excellent! Thanks for letting me know.
I’m trying to reproduce what’s happening on your site, as you don’t have the mobile theme active, but I please need those device and browser details in case that’s relevant :)

It appears we’ve had a few more reports of this. Our developers are looking into the issue. I’ll keep you updated on any progress.
-
This issue should be fixed now. Can you please clear your browser cache and check if the galleries still show distorted for you? Let me know if it’s still happening.
-
Hi!
I cleared my cache to try this again. The issue seemed fixed the other day after I followed your directions, but the images are now distorted again. Do you know why that might be?
Thank you!
Priscilla

@priscillamizell
If it’s now distorted for you again it’s the same issue we’ve had a few other people report. A developer deployed what he thought was a fix late on Friday, but clearly it’s not fixed yet so they’re still working on it.
At this point there’s nothing else you can do from your end except wait while the programmers do what they do :)
Can you please check one thing for me: does it change when you refresh the screen, or is it still distorted then?

Thanks for confirming that. Every bit of info we can gather can help in fixing this. I’ll keep you updated.
