Hi @solacensilk, you’d actually want to point your domain to a new host then, rather than cancelling it. The cancellation process is lengthy and we don’t have a way to hurry it along.
But with the domain active, you can point it to a new host, then transfer it when the domain is 60+ days old.
Would you like us to go ahead and restore it for you?

This is restored. Now you can use these steps to point to another host:

Hi there,

As @supernovia mentioned earlier, you cannot transfer the domain over since it has been registered less than 60 days. After 60 days, you will be able to move it over to Go Daddy. Instructions on how to do that is here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
And here are Go Daddy’s instructions on what you need to do on their end:
https://www.godaddy.com/help/transfer-my-domain-to-godaddy-1592
However, just because you cannot transfer the domain until the 60 days arrive does not mean you cannot use it. In the meantime, you can keep the domain at WordPress.com, but point the domain’s nameservers over to Go Daddy so that it can be used with your site hosted with them. Instructions on how to do that are here:
We restored the domain because simply canceling the domain with WordPress.com and re-registering it with Go Daddy runs the risk of losing the domain. There is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, during those 60 days the domain has to be restored in order for the nameservers to be pointed to Go Daddy.
Hopefully this helps. Let us know if you have any questions.

apparently i need to update my nameserver too and they should be : ns47.domaincontrol.com
ns48.domaincontrol.com but that will change after 60 days? -
Hi there,
Great question! Our support page mentions this:
Note: If you are moving your site to a new host it is wise to change the name servers to the new host before you transfer the domain. This makes the move quicker and smoother. Name servers cannot be changed after you initiate the transfer.
The nameservers above are most likely the ones you will need to have in place before you start the transfer, but Go Daddy’s support page will assist you in verifying the nameservers:

Thanks!
