Change block width in PenScratch 2 on free wordpress site

I know HOW to edit the CSS to change the size of a block etc but it seems I cannot access anything without setting up a payment plan , which I don’t want to do.
My site is part of the volunteers decoding journals for the West Yorkshire Archive Service so it is not for any personal profit etc. just a way of making the content available to anyone who is interested. Is there any way to get around this? I’m trying to show a line of transcribed text per line written in the journal so people can match the transcribed line to the original written 200 years ago.I have already changed the font size down but still need a bit more width.

  • Hi there,

Custom CSS is only available on the Premium Plan or higher, so there is no way to do what you want on a free site.

And while I understand why you want to do it this way, keep in mind that it will only have the desired effect for someone using the site on the same size screen as you. Visitors to your site using tablets or mobile phones will see a different layout, with both content width and font sizes adjusted to fit the screen, so your text layout is likely to be completely different in those cases anyway.

OK- guess I;ll just have to live with it!
