Change Blog Name!

I need to change my blog Name. I have changed the web address successfully but need to change the actual name.
The old name of Sitaurora still shows up and that is what I want to change. What am I missing?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I did that, but nothing has happened. Every time I go to the blog it shows up as Sitaurora, and when I sign on, that is the site I see, unless it changed in the last 5 minutes.

The site displays as cynthiahughen.wordpress.com, but the Title itself did not change. I am new to WordPress, so my belief is there is something simple I am missing so I apologize for the basic question. I’ve spent too long trying to figure it out though. I don’t want to see ‘Sitaurora’ any more!

Just another WordPress.com siteThat’s what it says at the top of your site. If you mean on your dashboard and the drop down menu on the grey admin bar, it takes a few days to change but it eventually does.

When you changed the title, did you remember to scroll to the bottom of the page and Save?

So now I’m a little confused. Yes that is what I want to change. the part that reads ‘sitaurora Just another WordPress.com site’.
If that is what you are telling me takes a few days, then I can sit with that.
When you refer to title, I think of the title of a post.
Am I confusing terminology?Since I’m experimenting, for a while this will be private, so it’s not a big deal until I go public, then I want the ‘sitaurora’ gone.

Yes, you are confusing terminology.
Your blog is not private.
Blogs have titles AND posts have titles. Your blog is currently titled sitaurora. Is that not what you want to change?

Yes. I want to change the title of the blog, which in other forums people referred to as the Name of the blog. On the settings page I was able to change the address of the blog, which I thought would change the name. I see no other place where I can change this and want to make sure I am not missing something.
I changed the blog to ‘public’ in order to get help with this problem.

You change the blog name, which is the Title, on the Settings->General page like I said.
