Change domain/url – made a mistake when entering

  Hi! I just added a new site/domain, but I must have typed something by mistake – it reads https://liveandletmomcom.wordpress.com/ – But I would like to elimated the ‘com’ after ‘liveandletmom’ – I’d like it to read liveandletmom.wordpress.com – no ‘com’ in the title.. Is that something I can do?? Please lmk. Thanks so much! Jessica

  Hi there,

  The address liveandletmom.wordpress.com is already taken by another WordPress.com user. You can contact them through the contact form on their site and ask them if they’re willing to transfer it to you.

  Alternatively, you can register a custom domain and hide the .wordpress.com address. You can read more about it here:

  I made a mistake. I entered http://www.accelthermal.com domain which is a current website. I own http://www.accelindustrial.com domain — can be switched?

  Both those sites are using the open source WordPress software and are hosted by Hover.com. We’re not able to help you with those sites here in the WordPress.com forums, as we have no control over either your domains or your sites.

  Please contact support at Hover directly for help. If they say this is something you need to fix in the WordPress software, you can find support for the version of WordPress you’re using on your site at https://wordpress.org/support/
