  Hi! I am wondering how to switch my email linked to my account.

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

  Hi @cyamauch, you should be able to do that here:

  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  Just be sure to use an email that’s not already in use with another account here. If you’re trying to do that, let us know what the other account is and we’ll see if we can recommend some options. Just be sure you don’t delete the other account to free up he email, since that takes a while.

  Thank you for the help! I did try that already but it says that my email is taken even though I’ve deleted the account attached to that email. It won’t let me change it because of this so I don’t know if there’s a way around it.

  Hi there!

  The email address won’t be available for reuse on a different account until it’s been 30 days since the account was closed. Can you share the email address you’d like to use? We can check and advise accordingly.

  Thanks! So that account was closed about two days ago. You’ll need to wait 30 days from the account closure date for the email address to be freed again.

  We can restore the account for you (you’d need to reply to the account closure email) if you want to log in and change the email address on that account to something else so that (email visible only to moderators and staff) is freed up for use on this account. Is that something you’d be interested in doing?
