Change email address

    WORDSPRESS WON’T LET ME CHANGE EMAIL ADDRESS. When I follow directions to so I get switched to open a new account. My old profile is gone, including picture, all my subscriptions have been deleted. A URL is asked for — how do I find out what that is, anyway that is asked for on open a new account page. Can someone retrieve my old account and switch it to new email? Why have you made this so difficult? Is there a person that can help rather than a list of problems in a forum?

    What is the address of your site, the username of your other account, or the email address you’re trying to use? We cannot help if you don’t provide any information that will allow us to look up the account you need help with.

    The account you’re using to post here, jonesbjonesbill, was created 6 months ago, and has never owned any sites on WordPress.com.

    You can see the email address connected to this account, and change it if you want to, here:

    I see it has already been changed, about two hours ago, from a Gmail to an Outlook address.

    hi kokkieh, I’m just trying to change my email address to follow many sites. I have no site of own at this time, but I’m working on content mission to start one. Old address was being picked up by a bad yahoo account that placed many messages in junk. That’s why I went to Outlook. I don’t know what “web address” is. All I know is that when I log in with new email the old account has been completely erased — no profile, picture gone, no list of sites I was following. My old WordPress account vanished. New address:

    (email visible only to moderators and staff).

    Hi, are you wanting change the email on the suebillj account? If so, you will need to log into that account using the yahoo email address, or alternately use the suebillj username when logging in.

    On the suebillj account, you will need to use a different email address than the one on the jonesbjonesbill account. Email addresses for each WordPress account have to be unique.

    Let me know if I’ve misunderstood what you are wanting.
