change from GoDaddy to WordPress

  I wrote a question yesterday and received a very helpful reply (regarding bedrockart.ca and how it is served by GoDaddy rather than WordPress). I would like your help changing it over to WordPress so that I can manage it along with npaulartworks.com. (Sorry I didn’t know how to respond to your answer directly via the Forum. I couldn’t see on the list where it was, presumably because it was private.) Thanks! Nancy

  Hi there, you can view to the original thread here:

  If you’d like to map bedrockart.ca to a WordPress site, you’ll need to log into your domain registration control panel at GoDaddy and update the name servers to:

  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  Please be sure to first read our guide to mapping an existing domain – especially the heads-up about any email accounts you may have on the domain.

  Soon after you update the name servers (2-24 hours) to point to WordPress, the domain will point to https://bedrockart.wordpress.com. After that happens you’ll be able to set bedrockart.ca as the primary domain under Store > Domains here:

  https://bedrockart.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  Thanks! The domain now points to wordpress, but after 36 hours I stille don’t see it from my npaulartworks account. Do I wait and try from another computer, or is there something I could be doing now? Does bedrockart have a different password?

  Glad you got the mapping working.

  As thesacredpath mentioned in the other thread, npaulartworks.wordpress.com is on a different account than bedrockart.wordpress.com, so you’ll need to log out of the first account and into the second account in order to manage the second site.

  If you’d like to switch the ownership of one of your two sites to a different account so you only have one account to deal with, please let me know which account you want to keep for both sites and I’ll let you know the next steps.

  I’d like to keep both sites under the npaulartworks account. What do I do next? Thanks for your help! (I can’t even find the account information for bedrockart.)

  Hi there, in order to move bedrockart.wordpress.com and its custom domain to the npaulartworks account we’ll need confirmation from the bedrockart user. I’ll send a message to the email connected to that account to confirm the change – please check all your accounts within the next little while and let me know if you don’t get it.

  I received your email confirmation and went ahead and transferred ownership of bedrockart.wordpress.com and its domain mapping upgrade to npaulartworks.
