Change in pixel width?
-
Hello,
I am currently using the Tarski theme for my blog. For my first 12 posts the maximum pixel width a photo could be was 500. So I resized everything to 500. Now it says that I can now only go up to 490 and if I want more I need CSS. Has anyone else experienced this? Or could anyone help me out on this. Thanks for your time.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I haven’t experienced this because I don’t use that theme but I think that 10 pixels must be some “padding”.
-
The alternatives are to change to a themes with a larger blogging space width or to undertake CSS editing on your own, without staff support.
-
Would they change the limit width for photos? It was always 500 pixels but now I cannot seem to change it to 500 from 490.
-
Who do you mean by they? Staff upgrade versions and we live with the results. I have to use 590 pixels on the Alert box on the Vigilance theme despite the fact it states 596 pixels. I have learned to live with that.

The 10px is likely to account for the frame that goes around images when you use captions.

@ltcphotography: If the files you upload are 500px wide, you can insert them in the posts, switch the editor to html, and remove the width and height commands from the code.
Or you can go to Settings>Media, set 500 for Max Width (with 0 for Max Height) as your “Large Size” option, and use that option instead of Full Size when inserting images.

thanks everyone for the advice. I just changed the dimensions for the large image format to W 500 and H 0 and it does not show up as an option when I am adding a photo.
Anything else? Thanks again everyone
