change my domain to taken but deleted domain of other user

  Hello,

  I have recently started the blog https://12inchesblog.wordpress.com. Initally, I wanted to set my user name to: 12inches, and the url to: https://12inches.wordpress.com/, but it was already taken. However, when visiting the url I realized it had already been deleted by the previous owner. Is there a way the deleted account can be made free to use, so that I can change my user name and url?

  We do not reuse or reassign blog names on WordPress.com. Please refer to this support page for more information:
