Change of email address

    Hi I used to have an account linked to this email address, (email visible only to moderators and staff). However, this email is no longer active and I find it hard to access what I have created previously as I don’t remember the ID or PW associated with that email. When I tried to reset the PW, I couldn’t update because the link gets sent to the inactive email account which is no longer available. Pls help me. Thanks

    Happy to help you with this.

    You would need to go through account recovery in order to retrieve an account.

    If a purchase has been made with WordPress.com, account recovery can be achieved through the use of a transaction ID. This can be found as per: https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id

    This would be used with the account recovery form here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form

    Thank you but the problem is I cannot even enter into the WordPress account, how am I going to do any navigation or change anything? It was registered using my email (email visible only to moderators and staff) but this email is no longer active. So each time I try to reset password, it will keep sending the link to the same email address which is invalid.

    I have created several articles and paid for the WordPress account linked to this email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff). However this email address is now inactive and there’s no way I can access the emails there.

    I am trying to access the account and continue my writing. I cannot recall my ID or my PW. It would be useful if you can help me check the ID used for this email address, (email visible only to moderators and staff). Thank you.
