Change the color of the bottom panel

  Hi, is there a way I can change the bottom panel same as the top panel? Every time I’m trying to change the background colors, only the side panels are changing and not the bottom panel.

  Do you mean https://diversitypa.wordpress.com/? The domain, diversitypa.com.au, is not connected to any site on WordPress.com. That would require one of our paid plans:

  Are you trying to change the background in the Customizer, under Colors and Backgrounds? If so, what you’re seeing is how that feature works.

  The site background only refers to the very bottom layer of the site, which most of the time, on desktop computers, is only visible as two strips to the left and right, and below of the content area where the WordPress logo appears.

  The site footer, the area containing the widgets, form part of the content area of the site, and is not affected by changing the site background color.

  The only way to change the background for that footer area is by using custom CSS code to modify the theme, and that requires at least our Premium Plan.
