  I want to shorten the WordPress URL for my blog, what people type to get to the blog. The domain name “wordpress.com” is fine. I just want to shorten the part before that. Anybody know how?

  Here’s what wordpress support says, but my dashboard doesn’t look like the one in these directions.

  And how, exactly, does your blog’s dashboard differ from that one’s? Those are the instructions (also, changing a URL is permanent and irreversible and 99% of the time the old URL just dies and cannot be used again, AND you have to purchase a redirect upgrade to move your readers). Needless to say I caution against it. Your URL is not too long.

  Thanks. I don’t actually want to shorten the tucsonterry URL, but another one (tusdecosystems). The instructions show a dashboard with a link called “My Blogs” you need to select. To get to my dashboard, I have to select a blog first. Then, there is no link to “My Blogs.”
